Abstract:

According to the present invention, a method for manufacturing an electrode comprises: a step (S1) of providing a sol solution containing metal alkoxide compounds; and a step (S2) of electrospraying the sol solution onto an outer surface of an electrode active material layer formed on at least one surface of a current collector to form a porous non-woven coating layer made of inorganic fiber. The porous non-woven coating layer formed on the outer surface of the electrode of the present invention is made of inorganic fiber having superior thermal stability, and therefore prevents the disconnection between an anode and a cathode even when an electrochemical device becomes overheated. The porous non-woven coating layer has air pores uniformly distributed therein to contribute to the enhancement of the performance of electrochemical device.
