Abstract:
This method for manufacturing a flexible permanent magnet having a polymer matrix layer containing dispersed magnetic fillers includes: a dispersion liquid molding step of molding a magnetic filler dispersion liquid 10 into a sheet shape, the magnetic filler dispersion liquid being prepared by dispersing magnetic fillers into a matrix material comprising a thermosetting resin-based elastomer component; a thermal curing step of heating and thermal-curing the magnetic filler dispersion liquid 10 while applying a magnetic field in the thickness direction of the magnetic filler dispersion liquid 10 that has been molded into the sheet shape and orienting the magnetic fillers; and a magnetization step of applying a magnetic field in the thickness direction of the thermally cured polymer matrix layer to magnetize the polymer matrix layer and thus obtaining a flexible permanent magnet having a degree of orientation of 0.5 or higher.
