Abstract:
This method for manufacturing a glass plate includes a grinding step P1 for processing an end face a1 of a glass plate 1 with a grinding stone 2, and a polishing step P2 for processing the end face a1 of the glass plate 1, which has been processed with the grinding stone 2, with a polishing stone 3, wherein, in the grinding step P1 and the polishing step P2, between the polishing sections 2a and 3a on the periphery of the grinding stone 2 and the polishing stone 3, at least the processing section 3a of the polishing stone 3 is cooled, and in a comparison between the grinding stone 2 and the polishing stone 3, the cooling effect of the polishing stone 3 is increased.
