Abstract:
The present invention discloses: a method for manufacturing a grain-oriented magnetic steel sheet, by which generation of edge roughness during rolling is kept to a minimum and which excels in manufacturability; and a grain-oriented magnetic steel sheet manufactured by the method. According to this manufacturing method: in slab-heating of a steel slab comprising a prescribed component-composition by induction heating under prescribed conditions, the value of the average current flowing in the coils decreases monotonically along with the elapse of the slab-heating time, and the induction heating takes place at a frequency in a range between 20Hz-1000Hz; and in finish-rolling of the slab to render a hot-rolled sheet, the finish-rolling is carried out with the rolling final temperature being 950°C or lower at the leading edge and/or the trailing edge of the hot-rolled sheet, and the hot-rolled sheet is soaked at a temperature of 750-1170°C for a period of 5-90 seconds to render a hot-rolled-sheet annealed sheet, and thereafter, the hot-rolled-sheet annealed sheet is cold-rolled once, or two or more times with intermediate annealing performed therebetween, to render a cold-rolled sheet of the final thickness, and the cold-rolled sheet is subjected to primary recrystallization annealing followed by secondary recrystallization annealing.
