Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a heat exchanger comprising a hollow fiber membrane layer obtained from a base material which is composed of numerous hollow fiber membranes having a hollow portion through which a heat medium passes and in which the numerous hollow fiber membranes are accumulated to form the general shape of a cylindrical body. This method comprises a winding step of winding each of the hollow fiber membranes about the axis of the cylindrical body while extending the hollow fiber membrane along an axis direction of the cylindrical body to obtain the base material, wherein in the winding step, each of the hollow fiber membranes is wound about the axis of the cylindrical body in a range of one circumferential revolution or more and less than two circumferential revolutions during one round trip of the hollow fiber membrane extending from one side toward another side of the axis of the cylindrical body and turning back at the other side to return to the one side.
