Abstract:
According to this method for manufacturing a heat exchanger (10), a pipe insertion step and a pipe expansion step are performed. In the pipe insertion step, a heat transfer pipe is inserted into a through-hole in a fin. In the pipe expansion step, the outer diameter of the heat transfer pipe inserted into the fin is increased. In the pipe expansion step, in order to increase the outer diameter of the heat transfer pipe, a pipe expansion plug (60) is pushed into the heat transfer pipe. The pipe expansion plug (60) comprises a plug body (62) made of a cemented carbide alloy, and a diamond film (64) covering the surface of the plug body (62).
