Abstract:
Provided is a method for manufacturing a high density nickel powder, wherein the particle diameter of the nickel powder is controlled, particularly such that the median diameter is 100-160µm. This method for manufacturing a nickel powder includes an initial operation in which a nickel ammine complex liquid solution containing nickel at a concentration of 5-75g/L is placed, along with 5-200g of a seed crystal per 1L of the liquid solution, into a pressure container having an agitator and warmed, then hydrogen gas is blown into the pressure container, the hydrogen causes a reduction reaction, and the nickel in the nickel ammine complex liquid solution is obtained as a nickel powder. The method for manufacturing a nickel powder is characterized in that, after this initial operation, a prescribed operation A is repeated at least once in order to obtain a nickel powder having a median diameter of 100-160µm and a bulk density of 1-4.5g/cm3.
