Abstract:
A method for manufacturing hydrogel particles includes a cooling step for cooling an aqueous solution wherein a gelling agent forming a non-crosslinked hydrogel is dissolved is cooled to a temperature lower than the gel point of the aqueous solution. In the cooling step, the cooled material of the aqueous solution is stirred at least at the gel point, and after reaching the gel point, stirring energy of 400 KW × sec./m3 or greater is applied to the cooled material of the aqueous solution by stirring with a required stirring motive force of 0.8 kW/m3 per unit volume.
