Abstract:
Conventional devices have the problem of being unable to sufficiently suppress brightness variation when a light guide is caused to emit light. An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for manufacturing an illumination device comprising a light guide and a light emission control unit that performs generation of light to be provided to the light guide and light-adjustment control on the basis of a light emission control value. The method comprises: an initial tristimulus value acquiring step (S1, S3) for providing light to the light guide in a state of being placed in a pre-set testing shape, the light being such that the light guide has a highest light emission intensity, and for measuring the tristimulus value at a predetermined position of the light guide; a correction value calculating process (S4) for using a computing device to calculate a correction value for correcting a light emission control value such that the difference between the tristimulus value and a pre-set target tristimulus value is minimized; and a correction value setting step (S5) for using the computing device to write the correction value to a non-volatile memory in the light emission control unit.
