Abstract:
A method is achieved for suppressing paper breakage when continuously producing a fiber sheet in which a functional inorganic substance is highly blended. This method for manufacturing a composite fiber sheet includes: a composite fiber generation step in which inorganic particles are synthesized in a slurry containing cellulose fibers, and composite fibers are generated from the cellulose fibers and the inorganic particles; and a sheet generation step for supplying the composite-fiber-containing slurry, which includes the composite fibers, to a continuous paper-making machine, and continuously generating sheets, the composite fiber generation step using a slurry in which the length-weighted 1.2-2.0 mm fiber length distribution (%) of the included cellulose fibers is 16% or greater, and/or the length-weighted 1.2-3.2 mm fiber length distribution (%) is 30% or greater.
