Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a method for manufacturing a magnetostriction material that enables the manufacture of a magnetostriction material without using a mold; a magnetostriction material; and a method for manufacturing an energy conversion member. [Solution] In the method for manufacturing a magnetostriction material, a metallic 3D additive manufacturing device is used to perform additive manufacturing by melting a raw material powder of a magnetostriction material using a laser or an electron beam. The raw material powder comprises an Fe-Co alloy. In the method for manufacturing an energy conversion member, one of a magnetostriction layer formed by performing additive manufacturing by melting a raw material powder of a magnetostriction material by directed energy deposition, and a soft magnetic layer formed by performing additive manufacturing by melting a raw material powder of a soft magnetic by directed energy deposition, is stacked and joined to the other.
