Abstract:
This method for manufacturing an optical element is a method for manufacturing a lens provided with, on a concave lens surface (1a), an antireflection section having an uneven portion extending in a direction intersecting an optical axis, said method comprising: a main body fabrication step of forming a lens body (1) having a concave lens surface (1a); a molding step of applying a molding resin to the concave lens surface (1a), pressing a microstructure forming mold (5), having formed on the surface of a deformable base portion (5A) thereof a molding surface (5a) for transferring the antireflection section, onto the concave lens surface (1a), then curing the molding resin; and a mold removal step of exerting a moment of force relating to the top of the molding surface (5a) so as to deform the base portion (5A) so that the microstructure forming mold (5) gradually separates from the periphery thereof along the direction in which the uneven portion in the antireflection section extends and is removed.
