Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an optical fiber emitting plasma light. More specifically, the method comprises: a coating removal step of removing the coating of an optical fiber; a photocatalyst application step of applying a photocatalyst to a sectional portion of a core layer of the optical fiber from which the coating has been removed through the coating removal step; and a forming step of applying a laser to the coating layer of the optical fiber, to which the photocatalyst is applied through the photocatalyst application step, such that the sectional portion of the core layer have the shape of a curved surface. The method for manufacturing an optical fiber, which comprises the above steps, enables conversion of applied laser light into plasma light, and thus can be usefully used in treatment such as plasma disc coagulation therapy (PDCT).
