Abstract:
This organic EL device (1) is manufactured by a method provided with: a step for forming an organic light-emitting layer (23) by a coating method on a first electrode (12) provided to a substrate (10) with banks and provided to a pixel region (2a) defined by the banks (13); a step for calculating the flatness degree of the organic light-emitting layer; a step for determining whether or not the flatness degree is equal to or greater than a desired flatness degree; and a step for forming a second electrode (30), the flatness degree being represented by (A1/A2) × 100, where d (nm) is the minimum thickness of the organic light-emitting layer, A1 is the area of an organic light-emitting layer that measures (d + predetermined value) nm or less, and A2 is the area of the pixel region, the step for forming the second electrode being performed when the flatness degree is equal to or greater than the desired value in the determining step, and the conditions for forming the organic light-emitting layer being modified to form the organic light-emitting layer when the flatness degree is less than the desired value in the determining step.
