Abstract:
A brake disk mounting surface is ground by engaging it against an annular grind
stone while an inner ring having the brake disk mounting surface is rotated about
the center axis of the inner ring. During the grinding, the grinding surface
of the annular grind stone is tilted relative to the brake disk mounting surface
such that a part of the annular grind stone is superposed on a clearance face, over
the radially entire area of the annular grind stone, causing the distance between
the brake disk mounting surface and the annular grind stone to be increased toward
the outer edge of the brake disk mounting surface.
