Abstract:
Helical grooves (40) in this screw rotor (30) are divided into first portions (41) including end sections on a first-end (31) side of a workpiece (35), and second portions (42) including end sections on a second-end (32) side of the workpiece (35). The first end (31) of the workpiece (35) is received by a holding part (61) of a machine tool (60), and the first portions (41) of the helical grooves (40) are finished using a cutting process. The workpiece (35) is then temporarily removed form the holding part (61), and the second end (32) of the workpiece (35) is received by the holding part (61). In this state, the second portions (42) of the helical grooves (40) are finished using a cutting process.
