Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a secondary battery, the method comprising the steps of: preparing a pre-lithiated cell containing a negative electrode and a lithium metal counter electrode and charging the pre-lithiated cell to pre-lithiate the negative electrode; separating the pre-lithiated negative electrode from the pre-lithiated cell and preparing an electrode assembly containing the pre-lithiated negative electrode and a positive electrode; immersing the electrode assembly into an electrolyte; primarily charging the immersed electrode assembly to activate same; removing a gas generated during the activation; discharging the activated electrode assembly immediately after the gas removal; and secondarily charging the discharged electrode assembly.
