Title:
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A SMALL-SIZED MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/084384
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a small-sized motor, comprising the steps of assembling, as a rotor, laminated core (7), a winding (6), a commutator (5), and a thrust brush (8) integrally with a shaft (11), or assembling, as a small-sized motor, a case (1), an end bell (4) press-fitted to the opening part of the case (1), and a rotor integrally with each other, and then cutting or grinding the tip end part of the shaft of the rotor in a non-circular shape over a specified length for mechanical connection to a device to be driven, whereby the method of manufacturing a small-sized motor having a D-cut formed shaft is provided, a judgment on the necessity of the D-cut is made possible after the latter half of a motor assembly process, inventory control of a motor with D-cut formed shaft is eliminated, the necessity of arranging the shaft in the same direction is eliminated when a rotor laminated core is press-fitted onto the shaft, and cutting chips are prevented from occurring when a thrust bush is press-fitted onto the shaft.
