Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a solid electrolyte capacitor having low ESR, high voltage resistance, and excellent charge-discharge characteristics. [Solution] In the manufacture of a solid electrolyte capacitor that uses electroconductive macromolecules as solid electrolytes, a capacitor element is immersed in a dispersion liquid of electroconductive macromolecules; the capacitor element having a porous medium of at least one valve metal selected from among aluminum, tantalum, and niobium, and a dielectric layer composed of an oxide film of the valve metal; and the dispersion liquid being obtained by oxidative polymerization of thiophene or a dielectric thereof with polymer anions as a dopant. After the capacitor element is taken out of the liquid dispersion, a drying operation is performed at least once to form a layer of electroconductive macromolecules, after which the capacitor element with the electroconductive macromolecule layer is immersed in a solution of an cyclic organic compound having at least one hydroxyl group, the capacitor element is taken out of the solution, a drying operation is performed at least once, yielding a solid electrolyte capacitor.
