Abstract:
The present specification relates to a method for manufacturing stainless steel for a polymer fuel cell separator and, more specifically, discloses a method for manufacturing stainless steel for a polymer fuel cell separator, in which a non-conductive coating is effectively removed, and a new coating is formed to secure low contact resistance and high corrosion resistance. According to an embodiment of the disclosed method for manufacturing stainless steel for a polymer fuel cell separator, the method for manufacturing stainless steel for a polymer fuel cell separator comprises performing alternating current electrolysis by submerging, in a sulfuric acid solution, stainless steel having a passivation coating provided on a surface thereof by cold rolling and bright annealing, wherein the alternating current electrolysis is performed by applying the current density of 10 to 30A/dm2.
