Abstract:
The method for measuring distance using an endoscope pertaining to the present invention is configured so that it is possible to switch between executing: image capture processing for controlling a movable joint on the basis of a direction instruction from an input unit and moving the visual axis of an image capture unit, and outputting a captured image acquired by the image capture unit; and distance measurement processing for executing movement processing for controlling the movable joint on the basis of a distance measurement control amount and moving the visual axis of the imaging unit, acquiring a first captured image captured before execution of the movement processing and a second captured image captured during execution of the movement processing, and computing the distance to a distance measurement object on the basis of the first captured image, the second captured image, and the distance measurement control amount.
