Abstract:
A method for measuring glycated hemoglobin in a hemoglobin-containing sample characterized in that an enzyme that catalyzes a reaction that oxidizes glycated amino acids or glycated peptides without oxidizing glycated hemoglobin to generate hydrogen peroxide is added to a hemoglobin-containing sample to generate hydrogen peroxide; after eliminating the generated hydrogen peroxide, an enzyme that catalyzes a reaction that oxidizes glycated hemoglobin to generate hydrogen peroxide is added to generate hydrogen peroxide; and the generated hydrogen peroxide is measured.
