Title:
METHOD FOR MEASURING RATE OF CORROSION OF METAL ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/002897
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to more accurately calculate the rate of corrosion using the Tafel extrapolation method, on the basis of polarization characteristics obtained through polarization testing. The method for measuring the rate of corrosion of a metal element in an electrolyte according to the present invention has (A) a step for carrying out polarization testing, (B) a step for determining whether corrosion has occurred, (C) a step for calculating a cathode indicator slope (βctmp) and an anode indicator slope (βatmp), (D) a step for calculating a target polarization quantity (ηtrg) using a logarithmic value of the error ratio (d), (E) a step for calculating an apparent slope (βc') of cathode polarization, (F) a step for calculating an apparent equilibrium potential (Ec o'), and (G) a step for calculating the corrosion current density (iint).
