Abstract:
A method for measuring twist of an optical fiber, said method being for measuring twist of an optical fiber under drawing, comprising: a step for irradiating light onto the optical fiber from a plurality of irradiation positions spaced apart in the running direction of the optical fiber; a step for detecting intensity distributions of the light irradiated onto the optical fiber and transmitted through the optical fiber at a plurality of detection positions corresponding respectively to the plurality of irradiation positions; and a step for calculating the twist of the optical fiber on the basis of the plurality of intensity distributions thus detected.
