Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for modifying a hydrophilic surface of a dental implant and an implant storage method for maintaining a hydrophilic surface, wherein the hydrophobic surface of an implant is modified to an ultrahydrophilic surface through a dry cleaning method using a UV-ozone which does not alter the intrinsic physical form of the surface of an implant, and the implant is stored in such a way that the ultrahydrophilicity of the modified surface is to be maintained for a long time. According to the present invention, the modified and stored implant is improved in body fluid and blood affinity of the surface, thereby enabling improvement of initial osteogenesis and reducing an osseointegration period after implanting a dental implant.
