Abstract:
Provided is a method that is for modifying a steelmaking slag and that can inhibit wear of a lance during modification while ensuring the expansion stability of the steelmaking slag through a modification process. This method is for modifying a steelmaking slag by blowing an oxygen-containing gas therein in a molten state, the method involving: immersing a lance obtained by providing a refractory material having a thickness of 5 mm or more around a pipe made of a metal; and blowing an oxygen-containing gas into the steelmaking slag that has not been modified and that has an internal temperature of 1450°C or higher.
