Abstract:
The toner is deposited on a metal sheet or a metal container by electrophotographic units (3),(4),(5), during which the toner is tentatively fixed at a low temperature by a tentative fixing unit (9), and it is finally fixed at a higher temperature by a fixing unit (9a) to complete a printing operation. A photosensitive layer may be laminated directly on the surface of the metal sheet or metal container, or on a photosensitive drum. A solid printed surface can be obtained by applying finishing varnish to the surface of the toner layer.
