Abstract:
A method for operating capability negotiation without breaking a link, a system and a relative device thereof are disclosed. When an application ability of a DIAMETER node is changed, the method comprises the steps of: directly sending a ability exchange request to a peer terminal DIAMETER node in success state of a capability negotiation in the link, in which the changed application ability of the DIAMETER node is carried; determining a re-negotiation result by the DIAMETER node according to its own application ability and the received application ability, and informing it to the DIAMETER node sending the ability exchange request; breaking the above link according to the re-negotiation result or sending the applied DIAMETER information supported by the DIAMETER node on the above link by the DIAMETER node sending the ability exchange request.
