Abstract:
An air conditioner unit (10) includes a refrigeration loop (48) comprising an outdoor heat exchanger (30), an indoor heat exchanger (40), a compressor (34) for circulating refrigerant, and an electronic expansion valve (50). A controller (64) performs a first operating cycle of the air conditioner unit (10) at a compressor speed with the electronic expansion valve (50) being in a first valve position (210), receives a command to perform a second operating cycle at a target compressor speed (220), determines that the target compressor speed of the second operating cycle corresponds to a first compressor speed (230), and initiates the second operating cycle, wherein the electronic expansion valve position is below a predetermined position threshold at the end of the first operating cycle and wherein the electronic expansion valve position is equal to the predetermined position threshold after the first operating cycle.
