Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for operating a filtration device that makes it possible to classify material that does not need to be eliminated which has adhered and been deposited on a filter medium of a filter element during filtration and reverse washing (cleaning) from material subject to elimination (filtride) and use the material effectively. Provided is a method for operating a filtration device that is provided with a filter element 3 wherein material in a fluid is trapped on one surface of a filter medium 31 during filtration and the trapped material is removed from the filter medium during reverse washing, and a brush 144 disposed so as to be movable relative to the one surface of the filter medium and assisting in removing the trapped material during relative motion and screening of the trapped material, and that starts reverse washing when, for example, the pressure differential between the two surfaces of the filter medium during filtration exceeds a prescribed value, and returns to filtration after the pressure differential is eliminated or after a prescribed time has passed, said method performing a screening operation such that during filtration, the brush is operated to screen material that does not need to be eliminated from the trapped material and the material that does not need to be eliminated is transferred to the other surface side.
