Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of optimally controlling a DC-DC converter, which allows a status of health (SOH) that enables an energy storage system (ESS) or a battery to be used for a long time, through an optimal charging/discharging switching control on the basis of an estimated state of charge (SOC) obtained through estimation of the SOC of the ESS. The method of optimally controlling a DC-DC converter of the present invention comprises the steps of: (A) estimating states of charge (SOC) of an ESS and a battery pack by a control unit; (B) controlling a first switching element (M1) and a second switching element (M2) of a DC-DC converter so that an objective function is optimized on the basis of the estimated SOC obtained through the estimation of the SOC by the control unit; and (C) charging/discharging the ESS and the battery pack by controlling an output voltage of the DC-DC converter while maintaining the SOC at a predetermined reference value by the control unit.
