Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for playing a Go game using cards, which enables new Go learners, including beginners or children, to partake in a game while playing Go such that new Go learners are afforded more interest in Go; and game cards used therefor. The method for playing a Go game comprises: a card preparation step of preparing a plurality of cards, each having one surface printed with a different stone placement pattern according to which a player can place two or more stones at one time, with the other surface of each being printed identically; an instruction-based Go gameplay step of mixing the cards, stacking the cards one upon another with the identically printed surfaces facing upwards, placing the cards next to a Go board, and beginning to play Go, wherein two players, starting with the player with black stones, take turns in flipping over one of the stacked cards, and, as each card printed with a different stone placement pattern is revealed, placing two or more stones at desired intersection points on the Go board according to stone placement instructions; and a Go rule-based Go gameplay step of playing Go according to the Go rules when all the cards have been revealed in the instruction-based Go gameplay step.
