Abstract:

Disclosed is a method for pooling an input array with a pooling window that pools an even number of elements. The method comprises the steps of: storing a result value obtained by pooling a pair of elements of index k+2p and index k+2p+1 in a buffer having index p from among a first set of buffers, and storing a result value obtained by pooling a pair of elements of index k+2q+1 and index k+2q+2 in a buffer having index q from among a second set of buffers; and storing a result value obtained by pooling values of indexes 0 to n-1 among the first set of buffers in a buffer having index j from among the pooling buffers.
