Abstract:
Provided is a method for positioning an inhibitor switch (4) that uses a jig (3), the jig (3) having a fitting part (33) that fits by splines on a manual shaft (2), and an engaging pin (31) that engages in a positioning hole (432) in the inhibitor switch (4), wherein: a tooth space part (212a) is formed in the manual shaft (2) by cutting out at least one of a plurality of spline teeth (211) provided at prescribed intervals in the circumferential direction; the inner periphery of a fitting hole (34) of the fitting part (33) of the jig (3) is provided with a plurality of engaging protrusions (341b) that mesh with the spline teeth (211), and an engaging protrusion (341a) that engages in the tooth space part (212a); and in a state in which the engaging protrusion (341a) is engaged in the tooth space part (212a) to link the jig (3) to the manual shaft (2) so as to be incapable of relative rotation, the inhibitor switch (4) is positioned by being rotated about a rotational axis (X) to a position where the positioning hole (432) engages with the engaging pin (31) disposed in a prescribed position.
