Title:
METHOD FOR PREDICTING CELL MEMBRANE PERMEABILITY OF CYCLIC PEPTIDE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2024/043251
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for predicting the cell membrane permeability of a cyclic peptide that enables the versatile design of cell membrane permeable cyclic peptides. The present invention provides a method for predicting the cell membrane permeability of a cyclic peptide, wherein the prediction method comprises: a first step that acquires the structure of a cyclic peptide; a second step that calculates a molecular shape factor r calculated by formula (1) via a stage that performs ellipsoidal approximation to determine each axis length of a, b, and c, when the axial length in the longest axial direction of the main chain structure in the structure acquired in the first step is taken as a and the axial lengths of the other two directions that are orthogonal to a and orthogonal to each other are taken as b and c; and a third step that assesses that the cyclic peptide is cell membrane permeable if the molecular shape factor r is in the range of 0.4-0.6.
