Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for predicting the effect of immunotherapy on cancer patients and, more specifically, to a method for predicting the therapeutic effect of anti-PD-1 immunotherapy agents. Although Keytruda and Opdivo, as the anti-PD-1 immunotherapy agents, which are the most prominent cancer immunotherapy agents, have been released and are being used to treat cancer in the medical field, there is no way to distinguish in advance between a patient group having an effect from the anti-PD-1 immunotherapy agents and a patient group having no effect thereof, and thus the unaffected patient group lost time and money from anti-PD-1 immunotherapy agent treatment. Therefore, the present invention relates to the method for predicting the effects of the immunotherapy on cancer patients, and according to the method of the present invention, it is possible to distinguish in advance between a patient group having an effect from the anti-PD-1 immunotherapy agents and a patient group having no effect thereof, and thus, the present invention is expected to be widely used in medicine.
