Abstract:
Provided is a method for predicting resistance spot welding spatter generation that is capable of accurately predicting the presence or absence of spatter generation throughout an entire welding process, without implementing a preliminary test. The presence or absence of spatter generation from mating surfaces of steel plates is predicted on the basis of a rate of increase in a molten region of materials to be joined during welding, and a change over time in a pressure application state of a non-molten region of the materials to be joined.
