Title:
METHOD FOR PREDICTING TERATOGENESIS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/035885
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed are: a method for predicting the teratogenesis of a chemical substance, which comprises the steps of (1) determining the activity of the chemical substance to inhibit the differentiation of a stem cell derived from a mammal (SD), the an activity of the chemical substance to inhibit the proliferation of a differentiated cell derived from a mammal (DG) and optionally the activity of the chemical substance to inhibit the proliferation of a stem cell derived from a mammal (SG), (2) comparing the inhibitory activity (SG) or the inhibitory activity (DG) with a reference value that is set in advance, and (3) comparing the inhibitory activity (SD) with the inhibitory activity (DG); and others.
