Abstract:
A method for the preferential adsorption and separation of ethylbenzene from a C8 aromatic hydrocarbon isomeride mixture. The method comprises: with a microporous material synthesized from a carboxylic acid ligand and metal ions as an adsorbent, subjecting an ethylbenzene-containing C8 aromatic hydrocarbon isomeride mixture and the adsorbent to contact adsorption, thereby achieving the selective adsorption and separation of ethylbenzene from the C8 aromatic hydrocarbon isomeride mixture. The microporous material synthesized from the carboxylic acid ligand and metal ions is a porous material formed by a metal ion M and a carboxylic acid organic ligand by means of a coordinate bond, and has a general formula of [M3L6]n, where n is an integer larger than 1, and L represents HCOO-; the metal ion M is at least one of Co2+, Ni2+ and Mg2+; and the carboxylic acid organic ligand is HCOOH.
