Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a coffee leaves beverages product. The method for manufacturing coffee leaves beverage comprising the step of, washing coffee leaves in water; drying the coffee leaves to remove surface moisture; shredding coffee leaves in to smaller pieces in a leaf shredder; passing the shredded leaves through a CTC machine to get processed leaves; drying the processed leaves from the CTC machine; passing the dried processed leaves through a fibre extractor to remove a crude fibre and unprocessed leaf particles; and sorting the dried leaves from the fibre extractor to obtain even sized particles.

Claims:
A method for manufacturing coffee leaves beverage comprising the step of, washing coffee leaves in water;

drying the coffee leaves to remove surface moisture;

shredding coffee leaves in to smaller pieces in a leaf shredder;

passing the shredded leaves through a CTC machine to get processed leaves; drying the processed leaves from the CTC machine; and

passing the dried processed leaves through a fibre extractor to remove a crude fibre and unprocessed leaf particles.

The method of claim 1, wherein the surface moisture of the coffee leaves removed by spreading the washed coffee leaves evenly in a shade.

The method of claim 1, wherein the shredded leaves passed through the CTC machine to get processed leaves in the form of fine and even sized particles. The method of claim 1, wherein the processed leaves from the CTC machine is dried in direct sun light for predetermined time.

The method of claim 1, wherein the dried processed leaves from the fibre extractor is shifted and sorted to obtain even sized, dried processed coffee leaves particles.

The method of claim 1, wherein the shredded leaves passed through the orthodox roller instead of CTC machine to prevent over heating of the shredded leaves.

A METHOD OF PREPARATION OF COFFEE LEAVES BEVERAGES

PRODUCT FIELD OF INVENTION

[0001] The embodiment herein generally relates to the field of beverage manufacturing. More specifically, the invention provides a method of manufacturing coffee leaves beverages product.

BACKGROUND AND PRIOR ART

[0002] Nowadays people are cautious about their health issues. Moreover, for physical fitness, along with exercise and yoga, they are also interested in healthy beverages. In recent times, green tea is one of the healthy beverages that can keep the person in fit. In that beverages list, coffee leaves tea is an upcoming beverage consider as an herbal tea.

[0003] Usually, for preparing coffee powder, the fruits of coffee plants such as Arabica and Robusta are taken as an ingredient. However, coffee leaves tea is like green tea manufactured using coffee leaves. The dried coffee leaves defuse in the hot water similar to green tea. Compared to green tea, the coffee leaves tea contains less caffeine and has more nutrient values. However, the taste of the coffee leaves tea is lies in the preparation method.

[0004] Many methods are available in the market for manufacturing coffee leaves tea. In the method, the coffee leaves are roasted for a predetermined temperature and time. In some cases, the coffee leaves are under steam heater and the leaves get boiled. But the natural taste is not preserved because of the leaves get cooked.

[0005] Therefore, there is a need to develop a method for manufacturing coffee leaves tea which has natural aroma and taste, there is a need to develop a method for manufacturing coffee leaves tea without a need for steam heating or roasting of the coffee leaves OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

[0006] Some of the objects of the present disclosure are described herein below:

[0007] A main object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing coffee leaves tea product.

[0008] Another object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing coffee leaves tea product using CTC machine unit.

[0009] Still another object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing coffee leaves tea product using fibre extractor unit.

[00010] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing coffee leaves tea product without roasting the leaves.

[00011 ] Another object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing coffee leaves tea product without need for steam heating.

[00012] The other objects and advantages of the present invention will be apparent from the following description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, which are incorporated for illustration of preferred embodiments of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope thereof.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[00013] In view of the foregoing, an embodiment herein provides a method for manufacturing coffee leaves beverage product. The method for manufacturing coffee leaves beverage comprising the step of, washing coffee leaves in water; drying the coffee leaves to remove surface moisture; shredding coffee leaves in to smaller pieces in a leaf shredder; passing the shredded leaves through a CTC machine to get processed leaves; drying the processed leaves from the CTC machine; passing the dried processed leaves through a fibre extractor to remove a crude fibre and unprocessed leaf particles; and sorting the dried leaves from the fibre extractor to obtain even sized particles.

[00014] According to an embodiment, the surface moisture of the coffee leaves removed by spreading the washed coffee leaves evenly in a shade. The shredded leaves passed through the CTC machine to get processed leaves in the form of fine and even sized particles. The processed leaves from the CTC machine is dried in direct sun light for predetermined time. The dried processed leaves from the fibre extractor is shifted and sorted to obtain even sized, dried processed coffee leaves particles.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[00019] The embodiments herein and the various features and advantageous details thereof are explained more fully with reference to the non-limiting embodiments and detailed in the following description. Descriptions of well-known components and processing techniques are omitted so as to not unnecessarily obscure the embodiments herein. The examples used herein are intended merely to facilitate an understanding of ways in which the embodiments herein may be practiced and to further enable those of skill in the art to practice the embodiments herein. Accordingly, the examples should not be construed as limiting the scope of the embodiments herein. [00020] As mentioned above, there is a need for a method for manufacturing coffee leaves tea without a need for steam heating or roasting of the coffee leaves. The embodiments herein achieve this by providing a method for manufacturing coffee leaves tea using CTC machine and fibre extractor. Referring now to the drawings, and more particularly to FIGS. 1 through 2, where similar reference characters denote corresponding features consistently throughout the figures, there are shown preferred embodiments.

The processed leaves from the CTC machine is dried in direct sun light for predetermined time. The dried processed leaves from the fibre extractor is shifted and sorted to obtain even sized, dried processed coffee leaves particles.

[00023] Fig.1 illustrates a coffee leaves beverage product manufacturing unit 100, according to an embodiment. The coffee leaves beverage product manufacturing unit comprises of a coffee leaves input unit 101, a washing unit 102, a surface moisture removing unit 103, leaves shredder 104, a CTC (Crush, Tear and Curl) machine unit 105, drying unit 106, a fibre extractor unit 107 and a sorting unit 108. The tender succulent shoots of coffee plant are handpicked. The coffee leaves are segregated from the plant stalk. The coffee leaves are transferred to the coffee leaves input unit 101. The coffee leaves are washed in the washing unit 102. After that, the coffee leaves are transferred to the surface moisture removing unit 103; wherein the coffee leaves are spread evenly under shade to remove the surface moisture.

[00024] According to an embodiment, the leaves shredder 104 can cut the coffee leaves into smaller pieces to get shredded leaves. That is, the leaves are initially shredded to smaller pieces by passing through a leaf shredder. The output of the leaf shredder varies from 600 kg to 800 kg/hour. Further, the shredded leaves are passed through the CTC machine unit 105 to get fine and even size particles. In the CTC machine, the overheating of the coffee leaves are prevented. In some cases, the shredded leaves are passed through orthodox roller to prevent overheating of the shredded leaves. The drying unit 106 allows the processed leaves to get dried in either direct sun light or machine dried for a predetermined period.

[00025] According to an embodiment, in case of sun light drying, the processed leaves are dried at temperature of 30 °C to 34°C. This type of drying may take 3 to 6 days to get completely dried processed leaves. But in case of machine drying, the processed leaves are dried at temperature of 34 °C to 37°C. This type of drying may take lesser time compared to sun drying to get completely dried processed leaves. The moisture content of the dried proceeds leaves may be 4 to 7%. After drying the processed leaves are passed through the fibre extractor unit 107 to remove crude fibre and unprocessed leaves. Finally the output of the fibre extractor unit 107 is passed through the sorting unit 108 to obtain even sized particles. Usually, the coffee leaf tea is sorted/graded using 16 to 24 mesh. The coffee leaf tea is packed and stored in air tight bins.

[00026] Fig.2 illustrates a method for manufacturing coffee leaves beverage product 200, according to an embodiment. The method for manufacturing coffee leaves beverages product comprising the step of, washing coffee leaves in water 201, drying the coffee leaves to remove surface moisture 202, shredding coffee leaves in to smaller pieces in a leaf shredder 203, passing the shredded leaves through a CTC machine to get processed leaves 204, drying the processed leaves from the CTC machine either in direct sunlight or using drying machine 205, passing the dried leaves through a fibre extractor to remove the crude fibre and unprocessed leaf particles 206, and sorting the dried leaves from the fibre extractor to obtain even sized particles 207.

[00027] According to an embodiment, the shredded leaves are passed through a CTC machine unit to obtain processed leaves. In the CTC machine unit 105, the shredded coffee leaves are cut down to get processed leaves. The processed leaves are fine and even sized particles of the shredded coffee leaves. The processed leaves from the CTC machine unit are dried under the sun for a predetermined period (for example 4 to 6 days). Further, the dried processed leaves are passed through the fibre extractor unit 107 to remove the crude fibre and the unprocessed leaf particles. The dried leaves are transferred to sorting unit 108 to get even sized coffee leaf tea. Finally, the moisture level of the coffee leaves is about 4% to 6%. The coffee leaves beverage product is stored in air tight containers to seal the aroma. Further, the coffee leaves beverages can also combined with particles which give different flavors. The different flavors include but are not limited to rose, jasmine, spice, cardamom and so on.
