Title:
METHOD FOR PREPARATION METAL COMPOUNDS OF 8-HYDROXYQUINOLINE OR DERIVATIVES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/118661
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The method for preparing metal compounds of 8-hydroxyquinoline or its derivatives thereof with the formula of Mqnq'm is provided. Wherein M = Al or Li, n = 1-3, m = 0-2, q = 8-hydroxyquinoline or its derivatives, and q' = ligand different from q. The method comprises that C3-6 alkoxide aluminum or lithium compound is added in hydrophobic solvent to obtain solution A 8-hydroxyquinoline or its derivatives are dissolved in hydrophobic solvent to obtain solution B Ligand q' is dissolved in hydrophobic solvent to obtain solution C. Then solution B and C are dropped sequentially into solution A under protection of nitrogen, and the reaction process is carried out at 25-140 °C. With hydrophobic solvent, the reaction is high-effective, the reaction time is saved, the yield and purity are increased and mother liquor can be recycled. The inventive metal compound of 8-hydroxyquinoline or the derivatives can be used as electroluminescent material or electron transfer material.
