Abstract:
A method for preparing a composite pigment filler for coatings by using coal gasification slag. The method comprises four processing steps for coal gasification slag, comprising pretreatment, ultrafine pulverization, physical modification and chemical modification. The pretreatment step comprises selecting any one step among three steps or any combination thereof, the steps being drying, magnetic separation and gravity separation of the coal gasification slag. In the ultrafine pulverization, an ultrafine pulverization and classification device is used to pulverize the pretreated and processed coal gasification slag to obtain ultrafine coal gasification slag powder. In the physical modification, a physical modifier and an adhesion aid are mixed, under the action of mechanochemistry, with the ultrafine coal gasification slag powder to obtain a composite pigment filler. In the chemical modification, a modified composite pigment filler is obtained by chemically modifying the physically modified composite pigment filler by using a modifier by means of a modifying device.
