Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a diester compound and, more specifically, to a method for preparing a diester compound, in which the method is performed through a continuous process comprising a reaction section in which a total of n reaction units, from a first reaction unit to an nth reaction unit, are connected in series, wherein the respective reaction units include respective reactors, the method comprising a step of supplying, to the first reactor, a feed stream including dicarboxylic acid and alcohol to prepare a reaction product through an esterification reaction, and supplying a lower discharge stream including the reaction product to a reactor of the rear reaction unit, wherein, in the first reactor, the conversion rate of the esterification reaction is controlled to 50-80%.
