Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a (meth)acrylonitrile-based polymer for the manufacture of a carbon fiber, comprising a step of injecting, into a reactor, a reaction solution comprising a (meth)acrylonitrile-based monomer and a reaction solvent, and carrying out solution polymerization, wherein the solution polymerization is carried out under a condition in which the consumption power of the reactor is 1-5 kW/m3 when the viscosity of the reaction solution within the reactor is 0.1-250 poise, and the solution polymerization is carried out under a condition in which the consumption power of the reactor is 8-13 kW/m3 when the viscosity of the reaction solution within the reactor is greater than 250 poise and less than or equal to 450 poise.
