Abstract:
A method for preparing a phenoxy carboxylic acid herbicide, comprising: S1, subjecting phenol or o-cresol to a condensation reaction with a chlorocarboxylate under the action of an alkaline substance to obtain a phenoxy carboxylate, wherein the formula of the chlorocarboxylate is ClR1COOR, R1 being a C1-C3 alkylene group or alkylidene group, and R being a C1-C10 alkyl group or C3-C10 cycloalkyl group; S2, subjecting the phenoxy carboxylate to selective chlorination with a chlorinating agent under the action of a first catalyst and a second catalyst to obtain a chlorophenoxy carboxylate, wherein the first catalyst is selected from a Lewis acid, and the second catalyst is a C5-C22 thioether compound, thiazole compound, isothiazole compound, or thiophene compound; and S3, subjecting the chlorophenoxy carboxylate to an acidolysis reaction to obtain a phenoxy carboxylic acid herbicide as represented by formula I, wherein R3 is H, Cl, or CH3. The present invention can improve the product quality and the operating environment at a production site, and produce less waste water, waste gas, and solid waste. (I)
