Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a polymer, the method comprising: introducing, into a reactor, a first reaction solution containing an aqueous solvent and a monomer mixture that includes an alkyl-substituted vinyl aromatic-based monomer, an alkyl-unsubstituted vinyl aromatic-based monomer, and a vinyl cyanide-based monomer, and initiating polymerization; and polymerizing the alkyl-substituted vinyl aromatic-based monomers while continuously introducing the alkyl-substituted vinyl aromatic-based monomers into the reactor, wherein the first reaction solution satisfies formula 1 (see description of the invention).
