Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a precursor for a lithium secondary battery positive electrode active material, wherein the concentration of ammonia present in waste water is reduced by using a polyamine as a chelating, and thus the waste water disposal cost can be reduced. The present invention is characterized in that a polyamine is used as a chelating agent in a method for preparing a precursor for a lithium secondary battery positive electrode active material through a co-precipitation reaction. According to the present invention, a polyamine is used as a chelating agent in a co-precipitation reaction process for preparing a precursor for a lithium secondary battery positive electrode active material, so that ammonia is absent or the concentration of ammonia can be minimized in the waste water generated in the precursor preparation process and the cost required for waste water disposal can be reduced.
