Abstract:
Disclosed are a method for preparing a sodium interface and a method for preparing a sodium optical structure device. The sodium interface is prepared in an inert gas atmosphere by a process involving the following steps: (1) heating solid metal sodium to a molten liquid state, and removing solid oxides and impurities from a surface of the molten sodium to obtain pure liquid sodium having a metallic gloss; and (2) spin coating the liquid sodium on a first dielectric substrate to obtain a sodium interface that fits closely to the dielectric substrate. The heat-assisted spin coating method achieves large-area and low-cost preparation of a stable and smooth sodium interface and a sodium micro-nano structure. The prepared sodium interface can serve as a plasmon material for use in a plasmon optical waveguide, a nano laser, etc. A sodium optical structure device can be prepared by covering, with a second dielectric substrate, the sodium on the side of the prepared sodium interface not in contact with the first dielectric substrate so as to completely shield the sodium interface from air. The sodium device can operate stably for a long time in an environment exposed to air.
