Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a method for preparing a solid photonic crystal IPN composite functionalized with an enzyme, the method allowing a PAA hydrogel to penetrate a solid spiral photonic crystal structure and binding an enzyme thereto, thereby allowing the solid photonic crystal IPN composite to exhibit a color change by inducing the contraction and expansion of the PAA hydrogel through a pH change caused by an enzymatic reaction; an IPN composite prepared thereby; and a biosensor using same. The present invention comprises the steps of: (1) mixing and curing an unreactive chiral dopant and a reactive nematic mesogen, and then removing the chiral dopant while maintaining a spiral structure, thereby preparing a solid spiral photonic crystal structure; (2) allowing a PAA hydrogel to penetrate the inner space of the photonic crystal structure, and then curing the same, thereby forming a composite having an IPN structure; and (3) binding an enzyme to the composite having an IPN structure.
