Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a styrene-based resin having a low oligomer content and to a styrene-based resin prepared thereby. The preparing method according to the present invention can produce a styrene-based resin having a reduced oligomer content by using a polymerization initiator having a half-life of 1 hour at a temperature that is 5-25°C lower than the temperature at polymerization and controlling devolatilization conditions.
